SEO - Search Engine OptimizationWhile certainly not the only criteria, search engine optimization can make or break your website. Sure, you can pick up a tip or two by Googling "SEO", but some of those tips can actually back-fire and hurt your position in the SERPS (search engine results pages). Even when they help, they can't compare to the more than one thousand hours that SEO experts spend studying this critical topic. Not only have I spent hundreds of hours studying search engine optimization, but that education continues as I spend at least two to five hours each week reading to stay on top of search engine optimization issues. Getting a few seo tips can't compare to that kind of knowledge. It would be like getting a few boxing tips then going into the ring with one of the Klitschko brothers! And let's face it, this is a competition - an SEO competition. If your competitors rank far above you in the SERPS, you have essentially been "knocked out"! You're down for the count. You can't sell to people who never learn about you and never visit your website. |

Virtuemart Support
Virtuemart not only looks super-professional, but with all it's features, power and flexibility - it IS super professional and fairly easy to maintain. Unfortunately it is also fairly difficult to setup.
Free, open-source applications are great - but the one crucial feature missing is SUPPORT! Virtuemart's support forums have plenty of desperate-sounding pleas for help that have gone without answers for many months. After all, the developers work for free, so why should they spend their days answering hundreds of Virtuemart support questions?
You may (or may not) get your support questions answered on their Virtuemart support forum. But how long will it take? Will their answers resolve your Virtuemart or Joomla issues? Wouldn't you rather have a Joomla / Virtuemart expert ready and willing to answer your calls and emails with prompt, friendly help? |
