SEO - Search Engine Optimization
The most competitive area in web development today is search engine optimization. The funny/sad thing is that most people look at SEO as if it were a separate, rather abstract pursuit. But unless I miss my guess, you didn't build your website for search engines - you built it for people! And the purpose of your website is to further the goals of your organization - either to make the cash register ring, get more orders, more leads, more volunteers, build customer loyalty, etc. Well my friend, that is the realm of marketing. If you have some twenty-something web kid who can't even spell marketing, do your website and SEO work, don't expect your cash register to ring off the wall!
Every step of building your website should be done with marketing in mind. It should be done by someone who has studied marketing for years; someone who has built and run successful businesses; someone who has at least one or two decades of sales and marketing experience along with the same amount of web development and search engine optimization experience. Even deciding on the initial layout and user interface, should be done with a good grasp of your market's demographics and their preferences. Talk to any web developer about SEO (search engine optimization), and if he replies with buzz words like "keywords", "incoming links", "meta tags", "keyword repetition", etc. and not a thing about marketing - the psychology of motivating your website visitors into taking action, then I think you're talking to the wrong person. Yes, like the others I've spent years studying the subtle changes in Google's search engine algorithm and how to manipulate Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc. into ranking my clients' sites well. But unlike most, I've also spent years studying marketing and applying what I've learned. Unlike most, I know how to intertwine the SEO techniques with marketing savvy, so that the site not only works for search engines, but it works for people too. Isn't that what it's all about? I am semi-retired and only take new clients on a limited basis. So, if you're serious about improving your website's search engine optimization and marketing performance, then the sooner you call or email, the better. There are too many variables with Adwords for us to post rates, but we'd be happy to discuss your company's needs for search engine optimization and Adwords management.
